Dear SUC Friends

Although there are many uncertainties, concerns and fears each day, we remain certain of this, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 So, as we approach God today in worship let us hold onto this truth and therefore be assured of His blessing, protection and guidance.

Much love and prayer,

The SUC Family.

Our digital service For Sunday 24 August 2020

The elders’ call to worship:

“The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, have never abandoned anyone who searches for you.”

Psalm 9:9-10

Dear Lord Jesus, how easily we forget that You Lord never leave our sides Lord, but carry us through our difficult times. Let us continue to seek Your guidance and not dwell on others or objects to take our focus off of You Lord and may we be reminder that you will never abandon us and to keep our faith and trust in only You Lord.

I pray this in your name Jesus.

Elders Prayer of Intercession

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for your message this morning, may we feel refreshed and refuelled. I pray for families that have lost loved ones and income into their households during this epidemic we are currently facing, the struggles are real. I pray for the homeless especially during our cold winter days and nights, may they feel Your warmth in their hearts. I pray for the elderly and lonely and that they find peace in knowing You are our God that cares for all our needs.

I pray also for our city Port Elizabeth as well as our country Lord, please keep our leaders focused on you Lord when making their decisions.
