Dear SUC Friends

Although there are many uncertainties, concerns and fears each day, we remain certain of this, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 So, as we approach God today in worship let us hold onto this truth and therefore be assured of His blessing, protection and guidance.

Much love and prayer,

The SUC Family.

Our digital service For Sunday 30 August 2020

The elders’ call to worship:

“Praise the Lord, for he has shown me the wonders of his unfailing love, He kept me safe when my city was under attack. In panic I cried out, I am cut off from the Lord! But you heard my cry for mercy and answered my call for help. Love the Lord, all you godly ones! For the Lord protects those who are loyal to him, But he harshly punishes the arrogant.”

Psalm 31: 21-23

Dear Lord Jesus, we thank you for Your goodness and blessings.  Thank you for Your amazing power and work in our lives.  Father, as we continue to experience change, we are thankful that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.  We pray that you will continue to bless us with your amazing power as we now praise and worship You in song. AMEN

Elders Prayer of Intercession

Dear Lord Jesus, we thank you for the generous hearts of our congregation. May we continue to give back to your Kingdom.

Father, this morning we pray for those who feel completely trapped and overwhelmed with their situation.  Father, we know that impossibilities are the platforms upon which You do your best work and we know with You all things are possible. Thank you that we can always depend on You, in both good times and in difficult times.  We pray for your peace to surround those who need assurance during this time.

We also pray that the leaders in our country will make decisions controlled by the Holy Spirit and that they will be surrounded by men and women of integrity, peace and good moral values.  In Your name we ask this.  AMEN
