Welcome to Summerstrand United Church!

We are a Christ-centred church situated in Summerstrand on the beautiful shores of Algoa Bay, because the gospel, “Is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes” Romans 1:16.

Our Sunday services are made up of a variety of people from different age groups and backgrounds who enjoy our God-centred worship in a family friendly atmosphere. We regularly invite people to follow Jesus at our services.

We regularly preach through the books of the Bible because, “Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.” 1 Corinthians 1:21

​

We are intentional about sharing the love of God through our outreach ministries among the poor and marginalized in our city, and in short term mission, because the Bible teaches, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

At the heart of our church are our Lifegroups made up of small gatherings of believers who meet during the week for bible study and fellowship
