Our Story

A Christ-centred family church.

We are a Christ-centred church on the beautiful shores of Algoa Bay, because the gospel is “the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes”, Romans 1:16.

Our Sunday services include people from many age groups and backgrounds who enjoy God-centred worship in a family-friendly atmosphere. We regularly invite people to follow Jesus at our services.

We regularly preach through the books of the Bible because, “Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.” 1 Corinthians 1:21

We are intentional about sharing the love of God through our outreach ministries among the poor and marginalised in our city, and in short-term mission, because the Bible teaches, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

At the heart of our church are our Lifegroups made up of small gatherings of believers who meet during the week for bible study and fellowship.

We look forward to meeting you.

What shapes us

Four convictions run through everything we do as a church.

The gospel

Romans 1:16

It is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. This is why we are here, and it shapes everything else.

Expository preaching

1 Corinthians 1:21

We preach through the books of the Bible, because God has used what the world calls foolish preaching to save those who believe.

Outreach and mission

Acts 1:8

We share the love of God through outreach among the poor and marginalised in our city, and through short term mission.

Discipleship and Lifegroups

Hebrews 10:24-25

At the heart of our church are small gatherings of believers who meet through the week for Bible study, fellowship and prayer.

Our vision

A community rooted in Christ, living according to God’s Word, reaching out to all people through the Holy Spirit and making disciples, all to the glory of God.

Our mission

To witness to Jesus, make disciples, and build strong families.

Acts 1:8 Matthew 28:16-20 Ephesians 3:14-20

Our values

Committed rather than complacent. Striving for excellence rather than mediocrity. Quick to listen and slow to speak. Accountable rather than walking away.
